Traffic accident
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office, “On 11-18-2010 at about 7:20 am, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 report of an 18 wheeler truck accident on West Beaver Hill Road near the intersection of Seven Devils Road between Charleston and Bandon. Along with Sheriff’s Deputies Bandon Fire, Charleston Fire and Bay Cities Ambulance personnel also responded. Upon arrival units found a 2002 Freightliner, tractor trailer rig on its side where it had overturned. The driver, 47 year old Lloyd McKinney, of Coos Bay and a passenger, 65 year old Everett Martin, of Port Orford were not injured. The rig was hauling live crab from Hallmark Fisheries in Charleston when it failed to negotiate a turn and overturned. The roadway was partially blocked by the overturned truck and a crew from the Coos County Road Department responded to assist with traffic control and OSP was requested to respond for a vehicle inspection. Traffic control was needed for several hours while the wreck was being removed. There were no citations issued at the scene.”
Wanted subject
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office, “Narrative: On 11/19/10 at approximately 01:00 a.m. Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 91047 Cape Arago Hwy to locate a wanted subject. Deputies contacted Leonard M. Huckabee 42 yoa of Coos Bay at the location. A record check revealed Mr. Huckabee had an outstanding warrant for the original charge of Contempt of Court out of the Coos County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Huckabee was arrested on the outstanding warrant and transported to the Coos County Jail where he is being held on $7,500 bail.”
