SHORT NARRATIVE OF EVENTS
On 4-27-12 the Coos Bay Police Department received a report from the Eugene Police Department concerning the sexual abuse of a 15 year old female. Coos Bay Detectives immediately launched an investigation.

The investigation revealed that Coos Bay resident, Brogan Oswald, had a sexual relationship with a 15 year old female from Eugene, OR.  During the relationship, sexual acts with the victim occurred in Coos Bay as well as in the Eugene area.

On 5-3-12 at approximately  12:19 pm, Coos Bay Officers arrested Brogan Oswald for the above listed charges and transported him to the Coos County Jail.      

Assault
A report of an assault at a tavern in the Empire District of Coos Bay early Thursday morning, May 3, resulted into two arrests.  According to an entry on the police log for 1:30 a.m., 400 block of Newmark Ave., "was just assaulted."  Twenty-nine year old Kayla Colvin was arrested on a charge of Disorderly Conduct II, and 25-year old Ryan Witte was arrested on a Multnomah Co. warrant charging him with Offensive Littering.  Both were transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

VRO
A male and female were arrested Wednesday night, May 2, in Coos Bay on charges of Violation of Restraining Order.  According to an entry on the police log for 9:19 p.m., 600 block Telegraph Dr., 33-year old Jonathan Woodward was charged with VRO (order out of Washington), and 20-year old Brittany Edwards was also charged with VRO (order out of Washington), as well as a Jackson Co. warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Criminal Trespass II.  Both were transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Sheriff's Office Wednesday morning, May 2.  According to an entry on the CBPD log for 9:51 a.m., Lakeshore & Edwards, Michael Cowan was taken into custody on charges of Probation Violation involving Possession of Meth, Failure to Appear, Parole Violation, and Attempt to Elude, Reckless Driving and DWS - Misdemeanor.  He was transported to the county jail at Coquille.
