Roseburg assault
One man is in a hospital and another in jail following an argument that led to charges of assault and possibly attempted murder in Roseburg Monday night, Jan. 30.  Forty-two year old Brian Duane Rick was arrested on a charge of Second-Degree Assault for allegedly striking 26-year old Jack Salberg with a bat and possibly a hatchet outside Salberg's residence.  Other's in the residence heard the commotion outside and investigated.  Some held the suspect on the ground while 911 was called.  An investigation is continuing.
