SWOCC
Visiting Mt. Hood CC swept Southwestern Oregon CC in men's and women's NWAACC basketball Saturday in Coos Bay.  The Saints (5-7, 9-14) downed the Lady Lakers (4-8, 10-14) 56-50.  Sarah Dexter led SWOCC with 10 points.  Mt. Hood (10-2, 19-7) took the men's game 86-77 over Southwestern (6-6, 14-11).  Linn-Benton CC plays at SWOCC Wednesday, Feb. 22.

Oregon's women lost both home games to visiting Cal and Stanford in Pac-12 basketball over the weekend.  Oregon State was also swept.  The Beavers lost Thursday to Stanford 78-45 and then fell to Cal 73-68 in Corvallis.  The Ducks lost 83-71 to Cal on Thursday and then dropped an 81-46 game to No. 3 Stanford on Saturday in Eugene.  The Duck men lost to Cal on Thursday 86-83, but bounced back and won at Stanford, 68-64, on Sunday.  OSU's men lost 87-82 at Stanford Thursday and then dropped a 77-63 game at Cal on Saturday.  It's round two of the Civil War this weekend with the women in Eugene Saturday and the men in Corvallis Sunday.

Oregon State opened the 2012 collegiate baseball season with a 7-3 win Friday at UC Santa Barbara.  The Beavers took the second game of the four-game series 3-2 in eight innings on Saturday, and won Sunday, 8-6.  OSU is at the San Diego/San Diego State Tournament this weekend.  Oregon lost its opener at Hawaii 4-1 Friday.  The Ducks came back Saturday and downed the Rainbows 3-2 in 12 innings and then won on Sunday, 14-5.  The two teams will finish their four game series on Monday.  Oregon plays Belmont in Nashville, TN Thursday.

Oregon State improved to 7-3 on the young collegiate softball season with four wins and one loss at the Campbell/Cartier Classic in San Diego this past weekend.  The Beavers opened with a 6-0 win over UC Santa Barbara Friday, but then dropped a 7-6 decision in nine innings to San Diego State.  On Saturday, the Beavers beat Notre Dame 3-2, and San Diego 7-2.  OSU downed Central Florida, 2-1, on Sunday.  Oregon State is at the Cathedral City Classis in Cathedral City, CA this weekend.
