National Girls and Women in Sports Day at UO

As Oregon welcomes Pac-12 newcomer Colorado at 2 p.m., Saturday, to Matthew Knight Arena, the Ducks will host a pre-game celebration for National Girls and Women in Sports Day.  Tickets to Saturday’s contest are $3 for adult general admission and just $1 for youth ages 12 and under.  Youth Day will tip off with the annual Cheer with the Ducks Clinic from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. (check in at 10:30 a.m.) at Matthew Knight Arena. Registration for Cheer with the Ducks is available until Wednesday, and fans can email the registration form to cheer advisor Dana Guthrie (dguthrie@uoregon.edu).  At 1 p.m., when the Matthew Knight Arena doors open to the public, student-athletes from the lacrosse, softball, soccer, track and field, acrobatics and tumbling and volleyball programs will be hosting activities and games for all youth in attendance as well as signing autographs inside the practice courts on the concourse level.  Youth Day is free to the public with purchase of tickets to the game.
