Local Girl Scouts Celebrate 100 years
Event: 100th Celebration Girl Scout Tea; Date: Sunday March 18; Time: 2:00-5:00; Location: Pony Village Mall.  Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low assembled 18 girls from Savannah, Georgia, on March 12, 1912, for the first Girl Scout meeting. She believed that all girls should be given the opportunity to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually. In celebration of the 100th anniversary, Girl Scouts on the South Coast are hosting a Tea Party. All former Girl Scouts and girls interested in discovering Girl Scouts with a parent/guardian are invited to attend.  Contact the North Bend Service Center for more information 541-756-4626.
