ATMs, lottery disabled in Bay Area
Bay Area merchants and others who rely on fiber optic lines for ATMs, debit cards, Oregon's Lottery and some phone services, were not able to complete their tasks on Thursday, Feb. 2. The service went down about 10 a.m. and was still out in the early afternoon at locations in Coos Bay, North Bend and Charleston. The U.S. Post Office was also down to "cash only" services.
