Sexual Abuse case
On Tuesday, January 31, 2012, two other suspects were delivered and booked into the Coos County Jail from an earlier case that the Coquille Police Department was investigating.  The investigation into allegations of sexual abuse began when family members disclosed to the police department that they believed the suspects had engaged in sexual intercourse with minor children.  Several arrests were made with two suspects fleeing the area.  Warrants were issued and the two suspects were arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail. Wayne Allen Smith of Salem, 30 years old, was arrested for Giving Liquor to a Minor and Rape in the 2nd Degree.  William August Smith of Salem, 26 years old, was arrested for Giving Liquor to a Minor and Rape in the 3rd Degree (two counts).
